In the 1970s, Jayan was the most successful action hero of the Malayalam cinema. He established himeself as the one and only macho-star of Malluwood.
This customs officer-turned-actor was from Kollam and his real name was Krishnan Nair. He came into the silver screen in 1972, with the film, ‘Sakthi.’ Angadi, Sarapanjaram, Moorkhan, Naayattu, Ithikkarappakki and Karimpna were some of his super hit films.
